New: Saccade Control in Dyslexia: Development, Deficits,

(Official quarterly publication of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development): BackgroundDevelopmental deficits in visual and / or auditory functions may impede the acquisition of scholastic skills and lead to dyslexia, dyscalculia or learning disabilities. In many cases the reasons for these difficulties are unclear. The sense organs (eyes and ears) are normal, but processing of information by the brain may be unreliable. Diagnosis and training in these domains is useful and helps to rectify sensory and optomotor functions in a short period of time.
